Chest and Triceps!

So today I tried something new…incline barbell press!  I usually do incline dumbbell chest press, but the only benches that were open were attached to the barbell setup, so with some encouraging, I decideincline barbelld I’d give it a try.  I tend to be a creature of habit (aren’t we all?) but I’m really glad I stepped out of my comfort zone today!  It was challenging–but the good kind of challenging, and it reminded me of how important it is to vary my lifts, keep my body guessing, and push myself to try new things.

Did a pyramid style set with this exercise and got to a 10lb plate on either side of the bar for my heavy set…not lifting any big plates on this one, not yet at least!

I followed the incline barbell press with a set of cable flys, then the tricep press down machine, body weight dips, and finished up with one of my favorites, skull crushers!

All sets were completed pyramid style except for the dips which were to failure (which in all honesty is around 4-5) for 3 sets.  Lift heavy, and step outside the box!
